At Harvest Community Outreach Mission, we have a heart of service and are really passionate about giving back to others - especially the youth, the elderly and the economically distressed. My husband and I know that with Jehovah God all things are possible, and as such, we've implemented a life and in-house business practice to tithe of our time, skills, and resources; so that we can be of assistance to others in an impactful, positive and Christ-led way.

We've been blessed to minister to others through our individual and collective works, and have touched the hearts and lives of others in ways that we can not even begin to describe. Both of our lives have been transformed by the renewing of our hearts and minds, and our obedience to this calling has led us to not only be able to establish our own outreach mission - but also be able to partner with others who share the same vision and passion for helping people. We've spearheaded and co-chaired many community-based initiatives - to the glory of our Heavenly Father - and have been able to pour into various worthy causes that were created to pour into very deserving people.
H-COM & APPROVED WORKMEN ARE NOT ASHAMED (AWANA)
The Harvest Community Outreach Mission (H-COM) believes in placing emphasis on the importance of Youth Ministry and community involvement. To strengthen our impact and reach a broader audience, we decided to invest our time and energy into the Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA) program. We submerged ourselves into their Alpha and Beta Courses for Youth Ministry and Education because the sole mission of Awana is to help "reach kids, equip leaders and change the world for God."
VIEWING COMPUTERS AS A CANVAS
In the Summer of 2017, we approached the Friendship Circle Senior Center in Yeadon, Pennsylvania - in hopes of introducing a premier course offering to their Fall 2017 Center for Life Long Learning program audience. After speaking with the Center Director and Program Coordinator, and presenting the course option to the facility, our project pilot was "green-lighted"and we moved on to secure a full class. Our 6-week course was taught by Chrystal S. Willis (with a few quest-teaching appearances from her husband Terrence) and showed students how to apply and expand their pre-existing knowledge of computer basics by incorporating the creative arts dynamic.
With a focus on HAVING FUN while teaching students how to exercise their cognitive skills, enhance hand-eye coordination, and learn through doing (to reinforce a sense of personal accomplishment) - the class was a huge success. "By teaching our students to look at the computer as a "blank canvas" we were able to break the mental and emotional barriers that some seniors may experience when it comes to learning and embracing technology.
